about our studio
Established in 2021, SISU is a boutique Reformer Pilates and Movement Studio in the heart of Pukekohe, Auckland.

SISU was born out of a passion for delivering dynamic movement classes and a need for a beautiful boutique studio in the Franklin area. Our classes are designed to challenge your body and your mind, along with improving strength, fitness and your ability to push past your limits.
We are an inclusive community that values everyone that steps through our doors. Our classes are kept small so we can get to know you and how you move so we can connect and empower you to explore movement in a way that feels good for your body. We celebrate every body at every ability, because we want you to know that you are so much more than what you look like.
We are committed to supporting our local Franklin community and love seeing our neighbours in small business succeed, so we support local where we can. We also feel strongly about protecting our environment, aiming to eliminate waste and use natural products wherever possible.

The core mission of our business has always been about how we can help more people live a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life to ultimately contribute more positively to our community. But not everyone can (or wants to) do Pilates. That got us thinking about how we can give back to our community in other ways, so we have decided to donate a small portion of every paid class attendance to charity each month. That means every time you pay come to a class, you are not only doing great things for yourself, you are giving back to others - win win!

What can we expect from your classes?
Plenty of spice and bad counting. I encourage my clients to connect with their bodies, explore their capabilities and challenge their limits.

What is your favourite thing about teaching Reformer Pilates?
I love seeing people that have never enjoyed exercise before fall in love with moving their bodies on the Reformer. I get a huge buzz seeing clients get stronger and more confident in their bodies.

When you're not teaching where will we find you?
Spending time with my family - husband Scott, daughter Quinn and cat Teddy. I also love staying active, cooking and upskilling about all things exercise science and Pilates.

What can we expect from your classes?
You can expect a full body workout with a touch of spice, plenty of layers to suit you and giggles from me.

What is your favourite thing about teaching Reformer Pilates?
Watching my clients become stronger and more confident, and achieve things they never thought they could really excites me!

When you're not teaching where will we find you?
You'll find me up the road hiding behind a coffee machine! When I am not there, I'll be out walking my wee sausage dog Bea.

How did you get into Reformer Pilates?
I have always been an active person, however an ongoing battle with back pain made me turn to reformer Pilates. It has been the best thing for my body, especially after having kids. Low impact yet leaving me sweaty and sore in all the right places.

What can we expect from your classes?
I want to empower you to move your body however it needs to move on that particular day. Expect a fun and sweaty workout. Caution: legs may feel shaky as you walk down those stairs after class. Tunes will be pumping.

When you're not teaching where will we find you?
Either at the hospital working as a Radiation Therapist, or running around after my two gorgeous kids.

How did you get into Reformer Pilates?
As part of my recovery from Bariatric surgery I thought iI would give it a try, never knowing just how appealing the movement would be for a body undergoing huge change.

What can we expect from your classes?
I love to challenge the brain-body connection! Expect movement akin to patting your head while rubbing your tummy, throw in some beautiful mobility and round it off with a session where we aim to hit all body parts at least once.

When you're not teaching where will we find you?
At the hospital as an Anaesthetic Technician or home with my husband, 4 kids and 2 dogs.
